About Us

Sometimes in the middle of hard, crazy things in our lives we wonder if any good will come of it.  This was our situation more than a decade ago when it seemed our lives had fallen apart; that God had abandoned us.   

But in the last decade we have seen God's hand in our lives and despite the inadequate and painful response by church leaders to the abuse discovered in our family, we have chosen to continue in our church and in our rich spiritual life.  We're glad we did.  We feel God's hand in publishing this site to benefit people like us; to replace misery with the sweetness of His love.   

Our journey has taught us the difference between what is emotional and what is spiritual.  We've found that too often, religious people confuse them and believe that strength in one area means strength in the other.  This is not true.  While our spiritual lives do affect our emotional lives and vice versa, it is possible to be spiritually well, but emotionally troubled.  We have learned that it is ok and even desirable to pursue direct methods of healing the emotions.  And when we pursue emotional healing, we put ourselves in a better position to receive God's more superior healing power.  

In the middle of our most painful times, we had been put in situations where we had to strengthen others who were suffering.  We felt the additional healing that came from strengthening others.  We believe God is aware of all his children and sometimes he answers our prayers through others' actions.  We would like this website to be a place for many to find answers and to feel the support and care of those who know and understand their pain. 

Often, the greatest service we can do for others (especially abuse sufferers) is to simply believe and support their life experiences without judgment or criticism.  On the flip side, one of the worst pains is the pain of feeling like you are alone.  We don't want anyone to feel as we once did - that there was no one who would listen and understand.   

Because we have personally walked the path to regain joy and purpose in life, we now spend all of our time strengthening people where they are - in relationships, in marriages and at work.  We do this through our two companies, For Every Marriage LLC (www.ForEveryMarriage.com) and Chamberlain Leadership Group LLC (www.ChamberlainLeadership.com).
